The previous page discussed the basic and essential portions of the DRLOSSWTLOSS.COM Program.

The Optional but strongly suggested portions of the program are as follows:

  1. LIFTED WEIGHTS - While primarily enjoyably watching television lift very light weights for 2 to 5 minutes 2 to 4 times a week. Start with a very few repetitions of very light weights and slowly increase the amount of weight and the number of repetitions. This is not serious weight lifting, but just light weights to tone up. Serious weight lifting falls outside of the intent of this program. Over time lifting light weights you will be amazed how much stronger you will get and how much better you will look. This is done in zero wasted time as you are already wasting the time watching television. Record on your PERSONAL WEB PAGE in the space "Lifted Weights" that you lifted. Do not record how much or how long you lifted, buy just that your lifted.

  2. STRETCHED - While primarily enjoyably watching television stretch for 2 to 5 minutes 2 to 4 times a week. This will make you more flexible and limber and is essential for good health. You do this in virtually zero wasted time as you are already wasting time watching television. Record on your PERSONAL WEB PAGE in the space "Stretched" that you stretched.

  3. CALISTHENICS - While primarily enjoyably watching television do some light calisthenics, a few pushups, a few leg raises, etc. for 2 to 5 minutes 2 to 4 times a week. Start off with very few and increase very gradually, and stop the increase at an appropriate level. You do this in virtually zero wasted time as you are already wasting the time watching television. Then record on your PERSONAL WEB PAGE in the space "Calisthenics" that you did calisthenics. Just check off that you did calisthenics not the number of pushups, etc.

  4. MEDICATIONS TAKEN - This is just a check off reminder that you took the medications you were supposed to take that day. Record on your PERSONAL WEB PAGE in the space "Medications Taken" that you took them. Do not record the specific medications, but just that you took them.

  5. CALORIES WANTED BUT NOT EATEN - The candy bar that you wanted to eat but resisted for 2355 calories. The piece of pie that you wanted but resisted for 450 calories. add up all of those calories on your 3 by 5 index card and record that number on your PERSONAL WEB PAGE in the space "Calories Wanted But Not Eaten." The number will astound you.
